목포시티 아트앤코

도시의 화려함과 편리함도 싫지는 않지만 온 마음으로 느껴지는 남도 속 자연의 아름다움이 나에게는 더 큰 위안과 평화를 가져다주었다.

자유롭고 싶었던 나는 정 많은 사람들과 함께 자연의 품안에서 호흡하며 새하얀 캔버스에 마음껏 표현하고 있다.

목포는 과거, 호남의 중심 항구로서의 역할을 톡톡히 해내며 상권이 번성하고 관광객이 끊이지 않던 시절이 있었다. 

거물급 정치인의 후광까지 더해져 도시의 활기는 절정에 달했지만, 

이제 그 영화로운 시절은 점차 잊혀져가고, 현재는 지방의 소도시로서 쇠락의 길을 걷고 있다.

현대미술 작가로서 이러한 목포의 변화를 바라보며, 다양한 감정들이 교차한다. 

한때는 역동적이고 번성했던 이 도시의 모습이 이제는 서서히 사라져가는 것을 보며 안타까움을 느끼지만, 

동시에 현재의 목포는 과거의 영광을 추억하고 새로운 가능성의 무대가 될 수 있다는 생각도 든다.

쇠락하는 과정 속에서 여전히 열심히 살아가는 사람들의 삶과 그들의 이야기가 내 작업의 중요한 주제로 다가온다.

목포의 역사와 변화 속에서 느껴지는 시간의 흐름과 상실, 그리고 새로운 성장의 가능성을 작품 속 깊이 담고자 한다.

목포는 단순히 과거에 머무르는 것이 아니라, 새로운 변화와 창조의 기회로 가득 차 있으며, 

이러한 도시의 이야기를 현대미술의 언어로 풀어내는 것이 나의 소명이라고 느껴진다.

또한 지역 주민들과의 유대감을 형성하며, 목포의 문화와 역사, 관광자원을 주제로 새로운 발전을 함께 이끌어 가기를 기대하며, 

김진묘 작가가 진행하는 예술 프로젝트의 일환으로 ‘구름의 도시’ 목포를 소개한다.

예향 목포는 산과, 강, 바다와 섬의 역사를 품고 있고 사시사철 날씨도 좋은 청정지역이다.

맑은 날 하늘엔 뭉게구름이 시시각각 형태를 바꾸며 흐르고 있는데 간혹 힘들 때 올려다 보면 금세 기분이 좋아지고 마음이 맑아짐을 느낀다.

나는 작가로서 이러한 긍정적인 부분을 작품에 반영하여 삶에 지치고 힘겨운 시민들이 보고 새로운 힘을 느낄 수 있는 희망적인 작업으로 발전시켜 보고자 했다.

보다 많은 사람들이 나의 작품을 보고 새로운 기운을 얻어 밝은 마음으로 생활해나가기를 바라는 마음이다.

MOKPO CITY ART n CO

I don't hate the splendor and convenience of the city, but the beauty of nature in Namdo, which I feel with all my heart, brought me greater comfort and peace

I wanted to be free, so I'm breathing in the arms of nature with a lot of people and expressing it to my heart's content on a white canvas.

In the past, Mokpo played a role as the central port of Honam, and there was a time when the commercial district flourished and the tourists were endless. 

The city's vitality reached its peak with the halo of a big-name politician, but now the cinematic days are gradually forgotten, and now it is on its way to decline as a small local city.

As a contemporary artist, various emotions intersect as I look at this change in Mokpo. I feel sorry to see the once dynamic and prosperous city slowly disappear, 

but at the same time, I think that the current Mokpo can be a stage for new possibilities by reminiscing about the glory of the past.
In the process of decline, the lives of people who still live hard and their stories come to an important topic of my work.

It intends to deeply capture the passage of time and loss of time felt in Mokpo's history and changes, and the possibility of new growth in the work.
Mokpo is not just staying in the past, but is full of new opportunities for change and creation, 

and I feel that it is my calling to unravel the story of this city in the language of contemporary art.
In addition, Mokpo, a "city of clouds," will be introduced as part of an art project carried out by artist KIM ZIN MIO in hopes of forming a bond with local residents and leading new developments on the theme of Mokpo's culture, history, and tourism resources.

Yehyang Mokpo has a history of mountains, rivers, seas, and islands, and is a clean area with good weather all year round.
On a clear day, clouds are flowing in shape from moment to moment in the sky, and sometimes when I look up when I'm having a hard time, I feel good and clear in my mind.
As a writer, I tried to reflect these positive aspects in my work and develop it into a hopeful work where citizens who are tired and struggling with their lives can see and feel new power. 

I hope more people will see my work and gain new energy and live with a bright mind.
